Jean Humphreys Morris

Carter County is in northeastern Tennessee. It was part of the Washington District of North Carolina organized in 1775. In 1777, the district became Washington County, North Carolina.

Jean Humphreys was born in 1792. Here parents were David Humphreys and Elizabeth Hart.

She married Robert Morris on October 12, 1810 in Carter County, Tennessee. He was the son of Leaven Morris.

At the time of the 1850 census they were in Carter County, Tennessee. The household consisted of

John Morris (1846) was raised by Robert and Jane.
